ContrastImage taken at the MOMA. There's an area on the second level that is separated from the rest of the museum by a red plastic barrier. Through it one can see the first floor - bodies in chaos. On the second floor the bodies appear to be relatively ordered.1256,960Not For Sale

Columbus Park - panoramicThis panoramic view of Columbus Park in Chinatown was printed as three separate pictures, hung close together. The size of the printing allows the viewer to feel close to the scene. In the back of the middle section one can see a group of people evacuated from a Federal building in response to the earthquake that was felt only slightly in New York, but caused significant damage in DC.1440,314Not For Sale

Street CornerThe attraction to me was the almost abstract flow of color. The Victoria's Secret model looks down on the crowd. Only after printing this picture several times did I notice that the woman in the center appears to be loosing her pants.1440,960Not For Sale

August in Bryant ParkI wasn't able to figure out this person - all bundled up on a bright August day. I'm assuming that the person is female. She's not likely to be homeless, based on her boots. The fellow in the background on the right is dressed for August. This picture remains a mystery.1440,960Not For Sale

Christopher ParkThis sculpture by George Segal (1924–2000) honors the gay rights movement and commemorates the events at the Stonewall Inn opposite this park that gave rise to the movement. The Stonewall inn catered to the gay community of Greenwich Village. "In the early hours of June 28, 1969, police raided the Stonewall Inn and a melee ensued in which 13 people were arrested. Word of the raid and the resistance to it soon spread, and the next day hundreds gathered to protest the crackdown and advocate the legalization of gay bars." Lena Lett, the leader of the drag group of my previous show, told me that it wasn't actually the gay community, but specifically the drag community who initiated the protests. At that time in NYC, cross dressing was a crime that could lead to arrest. Weegee,, the famous tabloid photographer, took a number of pictures of these arrests.

Hand BikeI met this guy in Chelsea. He's actually not as fierce as he looks. I was fascinated by his hand bike; and he explained that it was an effective form of transportation, that he used it throughout NY, even crossing bridges.1212,960Not For Sale

Cinema StillI took this picture while waiting for a bus on 34th Steet. I call it 'Cinema Still' because it looks like a scene from a French genre movie. Every time I look at it, I'm expecting the action to continue. Several people have said that the man looks like a well known actor, but could cold not place him. Let me know if you have any idea who he is.1440,960Not For Sale

Getting AroundI encountered this group crossing an intersection on 6th Ave. Diversity in who they were, but sameness in their disability, they had come together to help each other navigate the city.1440,960Not For Sale

Bryant Park NewsstandI like this picture because of the colors and textures, but also for the newsstand's operator peaking up from behind his wares and the fellow in the green pants entering the picture on the right.1440,960Not For Sale

His AudienceAn early Pollock drip painting, owned by the MOMA, had been cleaned and restored to public view. The newspaper made a big announcement of the event; and many people came to see it. I just stood there taking pictures, and eventually assembled them into this collage.1440,960Not For Sale

The ArtistAnd how else does one show the artist, but at work. Taken through a mirror at the MOMA. Every one is blurred except me and one other bystander who is interested in what I am doing.959,960Not For Sale
